Skiing on a budget does not have to mean a Saturday-to-Saturday package holiday, travelling a charter flight in the middle of the night, cramped in a dodgy two-star hotel and being shepherded around by arrogant ski reps. There is another way…

You can get there cheaply, and on your own terms

With a little planning you can get out to the Alps cheaply, on a good airline, transfer to a resort of your choice on your terms, and stay in a hotel that you have seen reviews for. Most importantly you can go for a couple of days, which means you can go more than once in a season. What’s the point in exhausting yourself for a week of solid skiing, trying to use up every last minute, when you (and your body) would have a better time coming out for several smaller trips.

That’s the message of this website. I have done so much research in recent years on the best way to get out to the Alps that I thought I would share it with you. There’s no magic here, but reports and reviews of good resorts, airlines, transfer companies, hotels, restaurants and bars. I made the mistakes, so that you don’t have to.

So please take a look around, and feel free to drop me a line with suggestions, advice and complaints. And if you have enjoyed the site, please make a donation to help it continue and expand.

Happy skiing!
